Three more surfaces in this second post of the year and I am excited this week to bring you the Calacatta Bluette, Calacatta Estremoz and Blue Calcite. Three truly fantastic looking marbles.
The blue, brown and cream coloured Bluette stands out for its wavy appearance, something that would suit an environment associated with the cool, calm and collected. Where in your home could that be? After all, Christmas wasn’t too long ago and, if you believe the stereotype, we all know how swimmingly family gets along with each other cooped up in the home at that time! Well, trust me, stick this beautiful marble in any room, you can all then sit back and admire it for some calming vibes.
Estremoz is a strangely strong and vibrant marble for one that features beige veining upon a creamy background. The strong linear veins crisscrossing over the surface here are something that differentiates it from something like the above material and makes it a perfect material for the bathroom or kitchen, where light colours will be less overpowering, especially in smaller spaces.
Carrara is the quintessential image of marble for the average person, whether they realize this is the stone they are thinking of or not. However, that is not at all a negative and in fact, the versatile nature of Carrara, from a design standpoint, is something that means it continues to be an amazing choice. It can just about pair with any other material and looks fantastic no matter where it is used.
