In this edition of the Stone Focus we are bringing you three more refreshing stone surfaces to have arrived in the warehouse recently. This includes an incredibly versatile Limestone in the Belgian Fossil and two stunning marbles in the Bianco Fantastico and Calacatta Lincoln.
This is a very special limestone not only for the fascinating, characteristic fossils that are visible throughout but for its specification too. The particularly low porosity is definitely a huge bonus for this stone, making for an extremely versatile material.
Belgian Fossil comes in a harder specification that some marble and can perform better when used in places that you wouldn’t usually opt for a limestone. An example of this is its typical use in bathrooms and kitchens, as flooring inside and out as well as for facades.
We have 20mm stock at the time of writing, as well as a limited number of 30mm slabs. Sizes approx. 3m x 1.5m. You can view it HERE.
This marble is a beautiful, decorative stone. The features of the Bianco Fantastico make it appear quite antique looking with the mixture of subtle violet amongst the black and grey veining.
Perfect for table tops, fireplaces and bathrooms, you can’t deny the stunning nature of this stone. It is a fairly soft marble however, therefore it is not recommended for use as countertops or kitchen worktops. In spite of this, it is one of my favourites.

This marble, from the Canadian-American border, is one of those that looks amazing wherever and whenever you see it.
It has fairer and more subtle veining than some other similar marbles, so if you prefer a softer look then this may be a consideration.
Being quite a soft stone, as with the Bianco Fantastico, it would not be recommended for use in all areas. However, contrary to this, in the U.S. they often use it for kitchen worktops after it has been honed and treated.
We hold stock of this in 20mm thickness at this time, view it HERE or check with us for more information.
