This week we are looking at some of the most popular marbles on the market. The classic and beautiful Carrara, Calacatta and Statuarietto. You can’t get much more luxurious than that. Simply put, when using any of these three white marbles, anything will look good.
For many, the very image conjured up when they think of marble is of a Carrara, whether they know the name for it or not. This wonderful staple of design has been the choice for many a kitchen worktop and whether on its own or combined with another complimentary colour, it never fails to impress.
We have Carrara in stock in both 20mm and 30mm thicknesses currently. Get in touch to hear more.
Beautifully even in this particular slab, the veining here is stronger and straighter than the Carrara. Whereas the Carrara has lighter veining and a greyer appearance, Calacatta has a brighter and bolder look.
Every slab and block of natural stone is different of course and Calacatta can have much darker veining, contrasting beautifully with the white. You can see here a darker grey edging the veins throughout.
Currently we have 20mm Calacatta in stock, see our stock system or give us a call to find out more.
This marble is one of those in highest demand, at the same time being one of the rarest. With the bold and deep veining against the almost pure white backdrop, the differences to the other two white marbles here is quite clear.
The veining is more intense in its pattern than the calacatta and the overall asthetic of the stone is clearer than that of Carrara. Whilst not particularly suited to the outdoors, this marble is quite spectacular when seen in person and can only improve almost any interior.
Currently we hold a range of slabs in both 20mm and 30mm thicknesses. Get in touch quick for any further information.
