It has been a busy 2018 already at the MGLW warehouse. With the Winter Olympics currently drawing attention from all over the world, I will now attempt to alley-oop over our recent materials, for a spin around a few of the most spectacular front runners. That concludes the winter sports terminology for this week, now let’s look at some stone!
This striking granite never fails to impress and the new slabs we received are no exception. The Cosmic Black is a mix of black, ranging from the deep, dark to lighter shades, with luxurious, gold coloured veining.
Veining in this Brazilian stone can be quite wavey in some blocks, however here they are fairly uniform across the piece, which makes for a great decorative surface, showcasing the beauty of the colour here evenly throughout.
We have 30mm thick slabs in stock at the time of writing, get in touch to find out more.
The next two stone surfaces demonstrate just how much stone can truly be considered an art piece in the home. Whether used for worktops, flooring, walls or otherwise a natural stone surface will often become the focus of the room.
This Serbian marble is a perfect example of the type of stone that could stand out in any environment. Named after the Italian artist of the same name, colours that jump out from this stone are deep red and copper, alongside the lighter greys and whites. Set against a dark grey background. If you take a quick peek at some of the colours Caravaggio used in his paintings, you can perhaps see where the inspiration for the name came from.
In stock at this time are a number of 20mm thick slabs of this beautiful stone. Contact us now for more.
An Italian stone, the Grigio Perla is another impressive marble. Again, very much like swirls of paint, the colours combine with one another like in an oil painting. The grey here, almost a very pale blue, is offset by thin veins of sandy beige, surrounded in places by darker tones in the background, adding depth.
A complex looking piece of marble but not an obtrusive one, you could no doubt create something stunning with this stone.
In stock, at the time of writing, are 20mm slabs, which you can contact us to discuss now.
