In another edition of our new feature, where we detail a few of the most unique stone materials we have had arrive at the warehouse we will be looking at three magnificent marbles. The Port Laurent, Lilac and Rosso Alicante.
First up this week is our Port Laurent, which is a true delight to behold. It reminds me of a stormy night sky, with bolts of lightning flashing across the sky.
The movement in this material leaves an immediate impression. With the contrast of the different shades of yellow against the deep dark black, this choice of material would definitely be one that impresses.
At the time of writing, MGLW have plenty of slabs in stock, available in a 20mm thickness. You can see an up to date account of our stock online here.
Next in this weeks feature is the Lilac. This beautiful material is also another that is not easily forgotten. The veins, streaking their way across the face of this material are a deep shade of purple, which is quite stunning as a natural occurrence in the stone.
As with the above stone, I liken the pattern here to an image of lightning. However, here it is as if the colours are in negative. We have these slabs displayed near the entrance to our warehouse currently and they have already had a lot of attention so be quick to get in touch if you would like to enquire as to availability.
The last stone to be featured this week is the Rosso Alicante, with its bold red and stand-out white veining.
This stone would look great used for either walls or flooring. Being a strong colour, it will easily create a statement look in any interior space and depending on the finish used, would be an attractive stone for use outdoors too.
At the time of writing, our slabs of Rosso Alicante are currently in stock in 20mm thickness. Get in touch soon if you are interested in this material.
